I don't get to travel much anymore, so it would be nice if the world could come and visit me

ABOUT ME

I was born in Ruislip, England (now part of London). I have spent most of my life in the U.S. I was a career teacher who retired a few years back. I now live in the Philippines with my new wife Leah and our son Joseph.

PHILOSOPHY

Peace and individual destiny. People should be free to become what they either want or are destined to be.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will probably not stay at peoples houses unless I am invited to. I would be very happy just to have people visit and stay with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed on a few couches during my travels and had a wonderful time. Most were accidents, but some were last minute invitations that I could not say no to.

Lots of neat stuff. Said hello to Pope John Paul II in the Vatican, bicycled around Europe, rode a small motorcycle around Europe, seen space launches from Florida, partied in Pakistan during Ramadan, "swam" through Calcutta during the monsoon, taught English in Asia, skinny dipped in the Arabian Sea, dived in a waterfall in Hawaii, talked with Buzz Aldren about the moon. raised two sons. All amazing

I can teach people about cultural history of this area and much of the world. I can share what I know about human rights and freedoms. Other people can teach me about their homelands and the things that they like and are interested about

If they have time,I can share my experiences travelling around the world. I can also share my experiences being a teacher in an inner city public high school teacher.
