About Me

I'm discovering right now the experience of traveling, and due to it, exercising something that I love, which is learning languages. I have technical formation in mechatronics, and started the college on control and automation engineering. I had to freeze my graduation because of some problems in the beggining of this year, but now that most of them are solved, I decided it was going to be a very good experience to spend the rest of the year traveling, discovering people, things, places, and also more about myself, after all, I'm open to life and don't know what to expect of the next months, but more amazing experiences. Everything can change, right?
I was born in Monte Carmelo, MG, a very small town in Brazil's countryside, where I spent a reasonable amount of time from my childhood (intermittently), and there was raised in the basis of "queijo minas", cheese bread, dulce de leche, meatballs fried in the lard, chicken with okra and other delicious Minas Gerais food that my grandmother did. I enjoy spending time in peace, so the kind of ride I like the most is that one in which friends take food, everyone eats, we talk, and everybody splits the drink.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now in the second half of 2017 I am traveling to Turkey and Italy due to two volunteering projects at AIESEC (an incredible institution. You will find it worthwhile to look out for it!) of which I am part. As it is not every day that you travel to the old continent, I will take advantage of a lot of traveling, but I do not have a lot of money for accommodation and food in Europe, which are way more expensive than in Brazil. So it would be great if I could meet people from the places I would like to. Also I discovered that the most important are the people. The places is there just so that you can meet them :D. Let's go make international friends!

Music, Movies, and Books

Specific music is difficult, because I usually listen by author or by set (in the case of electronic music).
I really like Gypsy Kings, Gramatik, Electro Swing, and lately I've really enjoyed discovering pop music from other countries.
Movies is also tricky, because after I signed netflix, I'm seeing one better than the other. But some movies that marked me were Matrix (who does not?), Star Trek, LOTR, and (believe it or not) Zeitgeist: Moving Forward. The latter aroused much interest for the human being and its actions.
Books, I have read a few that have marked me: The Banker of the Poor, The Power of the Habit, PEP, Emotional Intelligence, the books by Dan Brown, and some of the Spiritist literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The mos amazing thing I have done so far was to hitchhike from Ortahisar (Turkey) to UzunGöl with my two friends, one from Algeria and the other from Colombia, camp in the surrounding mountains and eat traditional algerian campfire food. The destination was amazing, and so was the way.

Teach, Learn, Share

The title gives me freedom, then:
Teach what you can, learn about everything, share moments.
I do not know exactly what I have to teach. It depends a lot on what the other is trying to learn, isn't? In the same way I hope to learn what I am prepared to learn, based in what I am today. The only certainty I have is that the more times we share, the more we will learn and teach each other. Look how beautiful!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my ideas (lately I've been thinking a lot about education, and even developing projects with friends), my experiences (I'm not the best at storytelling, but I think I can bring some good to the conversation, haha), and a little cooking, that I hope very much to be able to learn where I go, also). Does good mood count?
