I'm a post-graduate student living in Passagem de Mariana, a district in the middle zone between Ouro Preto and Mariana. I study in Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto but, as a PhD candidate in Latin-American History, choose to live here with a friend, because is a really peaceful and enjoyable area, besides his beauty and tranquility.

Passagem de Mariana is small village which is located only 8 kilometers away from the center of Ouro Preto and 2 km away from the main part of Mariana. The old "Passagem" gold mine is deactivated, but can be visited. It is known for the beauty of the subterranean seas and visible gold veins.
