ABOUT ME

I'm Guillaume. I grew up in a little town, in the south East of France. I moved to the US to complete my studies and I'm currently trying to wrap up my PhD to move on to the next phase! I'm easy going, enjoy meeting new people and sharing culture and experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very positive. But when everything seems to go wrong and it looks like a reasonable argument can't figure it out, I think nothing can beat a peaceful moment spent fly-fishing for trout in a stream.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing many times at friends or friend's of friends and also been a host couple of times. Although it was never officially though CS. To me couchsurfing is one of the best way to meet new people and discover new places.

Interests

I like to travel, meeting new people and culture. I also love discovering local food. I enjoy all kind of outdoors activities such as camping, backpaking, horse-back riding and fishing. Even if I can appreciate solitude when outside in the nature, I really also enjoy hanging out with friends and live in the city.

Music, Movies, and Books

John Irving is still my favorite author, after many years. Comes also Cormac McCarthy. Wide range of music interests and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While on a backpacking trip with friends in Central America, we were chased in the jungle and arrested by Guatemala armed military men at 4AM, as we thought it would be a good idea to sneak in a park before the gate opens to see the sunset rising above the jungle, from the top of the temple. It was one of my scariest and at the same time most exciting experience.
