CURRENT MISSION

It is when you’re outside your comfort zone that you can make a bigger comfort zone. I also believe in the power of interaction, if only there is a way that people can interact, then we will be able to understand each other better, and when we do understand each other better, I'm positive that the world will be a better place.

ABOUT ME

After 4 years of working and studying in Bangkok, I moved back to the Philippines. I'm currently teaching International Relations, Research and International Organization in two universities in Manila. I love food and I miss Thai food scene a lot so I'm hoping to open up my own Thai restaurant soon. Currently, I'm working on a project that supports the integration of refugees to their host communities through a virtual platform. Couchsurfing played a very important role in the ideation process of this initiative. I'm a very outgoing guy who could easily adopt with everything. I am a born leader, dedicated, passionate, sincere and fun-to-be around.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well i really love traveling and I thought this would be a very cost-effective, easier and more fun way to do so. The world is also becoming more connected and I find couchsurfing a perfect way to connect to people from various walks of lives.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted several people already via couchsurfing. Most of them remained good friends and we are still well connected up until today. A couple, whom I hosted via couchsurfing in Bangkok, are now part of the initiative I'm currently working on. Couchsurfing does bring people together!

I really like travelling and meeting up with different kind of people. I like experiencing new things, may it be sports, roller coaster rides or food. I like reading inspirational and leadership books, surfing the internet and connecting with the friends I've made during my travels. I also like watching movies, blogging and reading blogs.

I love leadership and inspirational books. I also like Nicholas Spark being me as a hopeless romantic. I love listening to the script, maroon 5, Jason Mraz and Bruno Mars. I'm also an old soul so I can listen to Frank Sinatra, Beegees, Louis Armstrong, and Bon Jovi for hours!

I guess when I built a Day Care Center in my hometown by selling statement shirts! Whenever I see kids, I see potential and I feel like as someone who have come before them, I have the obligation to help them reach their maximum potential. And Early Childhood Education is the earliest stage where their potential is being developed, yet it is the most undermined educational level in the Philippines.
