CURRENT MISSION

to have fun--and to save the world while i'm doing it. to play music, meet new friends, have new (and interesting) experiences, and of course to continue traveling. i've been around the world twice and i plan to keep going.

ABOUT ME

Andrea and I like to travel, play music, ride my old motorcycle, sail, dance, grow and eat good food and travel. i designed and built my house out of recycled materials and its heated by firewood that i cut on my land. i've sailed since i was a wee lad and love living near the ocean. we live on a small island near seattle and love the community, the small-town feel of vashon. i'm 56 but feel 36!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We host surfers and travel as much as we can and couchsurfing is such a great way to meet local people and to stretch the budget.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we surfed in new zealand and in the states. everyone offered us a wonderful and memorable experience! we've hosted a few surfers and we host woofers during the growing season.

foreign movies, Rock & Roll, Blues, jazz, classic movies, books... i'm reading blood meridian right now because roger waters of pink floyd recommended it--but i discovered that i'd already read it! i read the new yorker, the atlantic and national geographic cover to cover every issue. i've been watching game of thrones lately and love it. amazing production!

lots of travel. peace corps in Nepal. i re-visited my village in nepal with my children 10 years after i left. my son jeevon was 9 and daughter kerewyn was 3. wow! a 3 year old traveling around the world!
