ABOUT ME

Music has been my main passion in life. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years, and writing songs for as long. I'm was in a band called The Roving Eyes that played mostly my songs ( see Bandcamp, Spotify and Youtube ). I am now in a band called London to Liverpool, which plays lesser known Beatles and Rolling Stones songs, as well as some other British Invasion bands.
I've mostly worked different driving jobs for the last 25 years, including delivery driving, taxi driving, and currently DoorDash. I've also worked in catering, and bartended a little. Before that I was a canvasser for Greenpeace. From 2010 to 2013, I worked as a caricaturist part time. I lived in Boston for two years, in my early twenties, and have also lived in LA a couple times,
I'm from Portland, Oregon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So I can meet some cool locals on my travels. I've been going to Mexico in January for the last four years.
I've been to Puerto Vallarta twice, and to Cabos ( and San Jose ), and Mazatlan once.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet, except a few times surfing on friend's couches.

Interests

I love to get outdoors and discover new places to hike. I also like playing guitar, listening to music, seeing bands, going to comedy open mics, reading, watching Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and the Daily Show, and SNL's cold opens and the Weekend Update.
I want to find out about the interesting places that the locals go.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie is Young Frankenstein. Other favorites are When Harry Met Sally,
The Seven Samarii, Spinal Tap, Life of Brian, Repoman, and Goodwill Hunting.
Some of my favorite bands/musicians are: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, The Who, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, JT, Eric Clapton, The Doors, Carol King, Van Morrison, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Weezer, Cake, and The Black Keys.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've managed to learn how to play almost every song that I've wanted to learn. I've also written some pretty good songs.
