I am a biology student and I study lichenology - you know, lichens, that green and brown things in bark and stone. Unique and amazing organisms, you know. My current occupation allows me to go to expeditions and to be close to the nature. Actually, sometimes I spend half of a year in forests and swamps - and this is really great until I start to miss other kinds of experience. Originally from Russia, I've moved to Canada to get here my degree.

Anyway, biology is not my only interest; there are so many things out there to learn. I am especially interested in philosophy, art and data science. I'm desperately trying not to became a complete bookworm, so for me visiting cities and meeting people from different cultures are the best ways to broaden the horizons.

As a hobby I do irish and scottish dances and play piano and flute sometimes.
