I moved to the US eight years ago with my two lovely daughters. I grew up in Uzbekistan, and studied railroad engineering. I didn't even think that down the road I'd become an RN (registered nurse) but that's what happened when I moved to America. One of the biggest reasons I chose this profession was because I wanted to be able to give better care to my bedridden father whenever we went back to visit. Another was to be able to help people and brighten their days at least a little.

If there's anything I love in this world, it is my family (including my three crazy cats) and a sense of adventure.

A year ago, my daughters and I went vegan and got to know the organizers of the Fargo Moorhead VegFest, Karl and Kathleen Keene, one of the nicest people I've met. I wasn't even aware of Couchsurfing until they informed me about it. And I'm quite glad they did too.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

The reason I'm on here is simple... adventure. But not exactly the kind you might be thinking of. Recently, my daughters and I decided to move down to LA so my oldest daughter could pursue her filming career.
Of course, we decided to rent for first year while looking for a good house. In order to rent though, you need to go to showings and that's what I'll be doing this July. I am taking my closest friend and going down to LA for four days. That's why we're looking for someone to be kind enough to accept us into their home and become our friends.

ALSO, the more I learn about Couchsurfing, the more I feel like it is a great opportunity to meet and help wonderful people. Once we're settled, I'm actually open to hosting travelers in need of a good company and a place to stay.

My mom was a high school teacher and my father a college professor, so I am always open to learning new things. Although I may not be as articulate as my parents, I do my best to teach my daughters and new people I meet the important lessons I've learned in life.
