About Me

Introduction

Hey my name is Gunnar. I am from Germany and currently hitchhiking the world south-east from Germany towards Mongolia, China and Japan.
Since I will be travelling by foot and occasional lucky lift, I never really know, where I will end up next or how far I will make it each day.
That is why my couchrequests can be very spontaneous.
Don't feel bad about seeing it too late though, most likely I had a blast camping in the wild instead ;)
I'm looking forward get to know and meet new people along the way,
as well as share experiences and insights, so let's connect!

Current Mission

Discover the world and its people! Through travelling and hitchhiking
I want to experience cultural exchange: meet strangers, share moments,
and immerse myself in foreign cultures.
Experiene and appreciate each other's norms and values,
and actively perceive the little things and moments in life.

About Me

My friends always describe me as a trustful, friendly and mostly calm guy,
who thinks things trough, before he does them, someone who tries to help where help is needed,
... and always writes too long sentences.
I am 33 years old and good at being alone, mostly meditating and marvelling about the world and its wonders.
That does not mean I don't socialise.
I love meeting new people and sharing laughs,
so if you're up for spontaneous encounters, deep conversations,
or just some interesting stories from a man hitchhiking the globe, let’s connect!

My Philosophy

The path is the goal!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because Couchsurfing is in my opinion the best way
to get to know the poeple of the country you are actively travelling.
It is a lot of fun and furthers your knowledge
about customs, habits and traditions of that people.

Interests

I am interested in all kind of sportive things like trecking, running,
swimming, climbing and bouldering, judo, soccer etc. and into survival stuff.
I am a huge enthusiast of music ( I play saxophone myself and sometimes sing),
or like to spend my time drawing, reading, creating art, or forging.
But the most important thing right now is to discover and travel the world meet new people and make new friends!
