ABOUT ME

Catlover, feminist, Socialdemocrat, vegetarian, non-drinker with a weakness for earrings. A laugh is never far away.

Generally I tend to favor practical solutions/things to avoid the "industrial-country-problems" such as to get killed when biking because you are not wearing a helmet, to freeze during winter time because you are not properly dressed etc.

I moved away from my parents who lives in the archipelago of Åland Islands when I was 16 to go to high school. This have affected me in many ways - I became the good girl needing to do things to prove I was good. These last years I have tried to take it more easy and am learning to say no. Growing up in a small village of 80 inhabitants has given me strong roots and home is still there.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For quite some while I was hosting and surfing a lot, was spreading the word, and went to some meetings. Now (March 2020) I'm thinking of starting slowly again, by meeting up travelers. Even though I lived here for four years I didn't see so many of the major sights, for example.
To get new perspectives on life!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All nice and lovely! The one that will stay the longest in my mind is probably when I went to JAPAN visiting a Rachel living outside Kyoto. A really fascinating experience when she took me to a Japanese family for dinner (twice) AND to a kindergarten where I met cute children! Some surfers came to my family on a small island and it felt good to show them the archipelago on Åland. I also met some people through a group, shared a car and traveled with them around Iceland :)

Movies: I unfortunately watch too many series. But try to keep it lower now.

from time to time. I usually listens to one artist a lot for a while, then grow sick of it and change to another one until one day I will probably return to the first one..

Books: too seldom, nowadays. I'm trying to read in German!
My favourite authors/books are Jane Austen, the Moomin books by Tove Jansson.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Jumping in the water at the stir of a moving sailing boat in my one piece Tom and Jerry pyjama when I was 11. While at the bow catching a rope enjoying the movement and moment :) in the water. Repeat 20 times. It was already September, so the water weren't supposed to be warm enough for swimming.
