About Me

Hello! I am currently based in Brasília, the capital of Brazil - a great spot for those who want to explore modernist architecture and the nature beauties at Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I get to travel a lot for work both in Brazil and internationally and that makes receiving guests and being at someone else's place easy for me - I just love meeting new people and cultures. Some destinations are challenging for the traveller - challenges that go from not falling at the 'tourist trap' to spending more in a hotel room per night then the minimum salary of that destination - which I find absurd and disrespectful for the community you visit.

Couchsurfing helps connecting people and making tourism work for better places to live and visit.

Interests

I once was a nightclub rat but as I am getting older ( not old! :-P ) my interests are moving quickly to food, drinks and other music like jazz, blues, traditional Brazilian music and the like. I get to travel a lot for work as well and once I am on the road I always look for the national parks and other nature and adventure opportunities I have.

In big cities I always go for architecture and other urban interventions.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I could make an infinite list of bands and singers, but will make it short informing that my religion is Caetano Veloso :-) <3

Movies: Brazil is making some excellent pictures on its history and current reality - I believe 'City of God' started this new cycle. I have been interested in those movies at the moment and would be glad to recommend some in case you are interested.

Books: Love biographies and history books, specially for the Brazilian personalities, historical moments and cultural facts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have snow-caved at one of the highest points of Glacier National Park, Montana/USA.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you the difference between travelling sustainably and travelling responsibly. Could also teach some more fun basic things as baking a perfect cake or unique caipirinha flavours :-P

I love to share music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to explain better what Brazil is at the moment (politically we are going through a tremendous challenging time). But as meeting new people should be fun I could bring a bottle of cachaça as a gift and we work on those caipirinhas I mentioned above!

Countries I’ve Visited
