Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Lima and more of that Peruvian mystery until Jan. 15th
ABOUT ME
I work with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses who've been marginalized much of their adult life. I draw from this experience and think to myself how lucky I've been to be blessed with so many, many opportunities to walk, talk, work, and joke around in this thing called life.
PHILOSOPHY
Make Love, Not Money. Relationships are number 1, romantic or not. I try something new everyday although I'm still satisfied if it doesn't always happen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had nothing but positive experiences through the project and I share the basic CS principles by advertising them to most people I meet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This was a new concept to me that I honestly had trouble believing at first. ..that is, until I met a couchsurfer and hung out with him and his host. The host was a seasoned traveler who understood what it was like to live on a very tight budget...he was so generous and expected nothing in return...its rare I guess to see overt othercenteredness. Informally, maybe its a Peruvian-cultural thing but once every year on average there has been someone from Per? or a friend of my parents from abroad that has stayed with us during their respective vacations, career changes, location changes, etc...so in a way I'm used to having guests in my house...having guests is also exciting from a vicarious standpoint.
Interests
I just kick it live mostly. Oh and I love dark chocolate and music and meaningful conversations with strangers. Find me on Facebook for more madness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled through Europe in Nov-Dec of '05. I pretty much improvised the entire trip. No set plans...just a few countries where I knew a few contacts...there were times where I wish I had done more research, but there's so much in comparison that I've done without planning that goes well beyond the lack of a set itinerary.
Countries I’ve Visited
Bolivia, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Peru, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom
