About Me

Describing yourself is probably one of the most difficult things one can do.
Personally speaking I tend to be an easy going person that loves animals, particularly dogs. I have a dream to live in a native tribe and destroy my phone into pieces. I really like to meet new people and I get always very thrilled easily by almost everything that is different from routinary life.
I am colorblind. A lot. But no, I don't see in shades of grey. I can see primary colors relatively well like the red of the leaves and the green of the sunset. I like freckles and that olive-green hair color that redheads have.
Once I was an atheist but duo to a lot of different reasons that we could happily talk about in a pub drinking beer, now I have developed a spiritual side. Or maybe that conversation could turn into a pursuit of home by trying to arrive alive after that beer transform into tequila and turn ourselves into reflective human beings wondering "what are we doing to our lives?". And then repeat the next day.
I let my instincts regarding people talk to me and like to listen to them. Some people might just not be in the same vibe that you are.
I like to surf, meditate, travel (been travelling less that I'd like) and help people.
I can be stubborn but I always try to see both sides of an ideological matter, even if I have one opinion myself. I like to chat with people living in the streets and always have a giveaway sandwich to give to someone who is in need.
I have a fixation in prime numbers, like only listening to music with the volume set to one of them.
My badass side is that I eat disrespectfully to my stomach. I squeeze dogs until they dislike me. I have arguments with goats. I'd like to fight two kangaroos. Only one wouldn't be fair. I wave to kids and pretend I didn't. I spit on lhamas' faces.
I cook and like the taste of it. I swear I'm not alone and I am a mechanical nuclear engineer that works for the government in a facility that manufactures nuclear equipment, but I am close enough to give up on everything and go raise ducks and goats and sell my handcrafted dreamcatchers at the beach.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I still believe people are good, and there is always that someone somewhere that could change your life forever by sharing his/her experiences. Maybe I am lucky enough to help someone's life with my share of things that I've lived or believe. The world is way to big to be trapped in a neighborhood doing all those same nothings for a considerable amount of years. If we don't connect, share and divide, we will never multiply the awesomeness that human beings can achieve together.

Interests

Play on bonfires, surf, study, spirituality, religions, points of view, animals, simplicity, meeting people, jiu jitsu, reading, guitar, music, piano, movies and laugh.

Music, Movies, and Books

I do believe that music is a way to reach one's soul. Nature vibrates music trough the winds, the seas, rivers and animals. I do believe that music can tell a lot about someone's personality. Or not, maybe I'm wrong, what would be quote more interesting than being right so this way I could learn more.
I like to listen to classic rock and alternative rock. I've had three rock bands which I was the guitarist and helped with the vocals. I play the piano since I was a kid and I really enjoy listening to classic sonatas to relax. Sometimes I like to listen to reggae and electronics. I don't dislike them but it's not necessarily what you'll see playing on my playlist. Depending on my mood I like to listen to blues or instrumental only. What I most care about music is that they need to be well constructed, and not just a bunch of catchy chords and riffs.

Regarding books, I've grown up reading and have developed my own taste of books. I like psychology and behavioral related books, such as Fiodor Dostoievski, Friedrich Nietzsche, Franz Kafka, Freud, Jung, Foucault, Machiavel, Sun Tzu, amongst others.
I enjoy fantasy books as well and one of my favorites is The Hitchhiker's Guide of the Galaxy. I also enjoy Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and son on.

Regarding television I rarely watch. I use mostly my computer to watch online series and movies. I like Game of Thrones, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Lost, Prison Break, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Mr. Robot, Supernatural, Agents of Shield, The Walking Dead and maybe a couple more.
Movies I watch whichever I am in the mood to, but mainly thrillers, fantasy and sci-fi and am trying to complete the top 100 of IMDB.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, this could not be that amazing but once I went to Czech Republic and got "a little bit" dizzy, got lost from my friend and went to the subway having no clue on how to read those signs lacking English writings. Then a girl eating chop suey helped me to get safely directed to my hotel and found my friend in the subway exit eating chop suey with another girl that had helped him the same way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have to little to teach, but I can help with the acoustic guitar, piano, meditate, chiromancy (taught to me by a Gipsy at Lapa - Rio de Janeiro), dreamcatchers handcraft, Portuguese, maybe English. I really would like to learn German and French.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now I'm unable to receive hosts, but I can lend a surfboard, a tent, sleeping bags, vodka, beer, food, free hugs (from me and my dog. Not from my cat. She's mean. A lot.) car rides and a pillow fight.
