My friends would describe me as good company to be with, even if they sometimes don't know how to read my face.Usually it shows what is going on inside my head but sometimes it's misleading. Asking helps.
I'm there if somebody really needs help.
I love dogs, like cats and other pets and have two budgies my own.
And I hate seafood.

At the moment I'm on my BIG TRIP around the world, starting in the western USA. When back home I want to share my good experiences and give some back hosting others.

Interests

I love travelling. Either city trips or to the beach.
I love my beer (though I don't drink much).
I love comedy and cabaret. When there is time, I like to read good books. I could talk about Terry Pratchett's books for hours. But I also like more serious books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Die Lockerheit der Australier. Ich stand abends vor dem Park in Sydney und der Wächter war dabei, die Tore zu schließen. Als ich ihm sagte, dass dies mein letzter Abend in Sydney sei und ich noch nicht in dem 0ark gewesen sei, hat erst mich einfach auf seinem golfcart mit auf seine Runde genommen. Toll!

Ein salzhungriges Quokka auf Rottnest Island vor Perth. Ich hatte ein Fahrrad geliehen und fuhr auf der Insel herum. Zunächst sah ich die Quokkas nur aus der ferne. Nur wenig später bog ich um eine Ecke und da saß eines nur zwei Meter entfernt von mir. Ich hielt an und beugte mich zu ihm herunter. Es kam zu mir gehoppt und inspizierte meine verschwitzte Hand. Die gefiel ihm so gut, dass es sie komplett ableckte. Es hat eine wenig gekitzelt, aber niedlich war's.

Der Tafelberg in Kapstadt. Wenn das Wetter sich dreht und der vorher "nackte" Tafelberg auf einmal vor Wolken nicht mehr zu sehen ist oder sie sich darüberwälzen und sich wie ein Wassefall ins Meer zu stürzen scheinen, ist schon der Wahnsinn.
