Hello everybody, I'm Guus, an architecture student from the Netherlands.

- Surfing (primarily kitesurfing, but trying to learn wavesurfing)

I've been living in Rotterdam for about 4 years now and I'm loving it! But of course I'm on this app because I love travelling. I'm not very experienced as a host or couchsurfer, but I would love to learn! In the past I used Couchsurfing to meet up with fellow travellers, but as my bucketlist is fastly exceeding my wallet, I want to participate more in the couchsurfing side of the app, including hosting people in my beautiful city!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly because it's the best way to get a feel for a place or city.

Also my desire to travel most of the time exceeds my means, so any way to make travelling easier and more affordable for me and others will be welcomed with an open heart.

So in short, I'm on couchsurfing because it makes travelling easier, cheaper and better for me and for the couchsurfing community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Honestly, I think the nicest things are still on my bucket list. One trip that I am really proud of though, is a cycling trip I did from Zagreb to Athens on a bicycle I found by the trash and restored myself.
