Music, Movies, and Books

I get along with whatever pounding electro Berlin throws at me, still have a soft spot for the Strokes and the Beastie Boys from way back when, recently had a Kendrik Lamar and Eminem phase, now I often listen to psychedelic rock bands whose names I may or may not know.

Generally, films that make me think and keep me on the edge of my seat. The Matrix blew 10-year-old my mind. Shawshank, Shutter Island, Silence of the Lambs, and anime films by the director Satoshi Kon are all my faves.

The ones I read when I was a wee lad still have stayed with me. Hitchhiker's Guide is a winner. Lord of the Rings also has a special place in my heart. More recently, Sapiens and Homo Deus had me enraptured. And Shantaram was a good yarn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked from my hometown to Scotland with a tent. It was a bit like the film Wild, mixed with Wallace and Gromit.

Also, 6 months traveling South America.
