Hi, welcome to my profile!
Covid-19 disclaimer: I'm vaccinated against covid-19 and I'm happy to host people who are low risk (either vaccinated, post-quarantine, recently took a test, been in a realitvely-covid free country for a while, etc.)
I'm Guy, I live in Tel Aviv. I'm a friendly person, I love meeting people and having fun. I really missed couchsurfing in the past year and I hope to start travelling and hosting soon.
My greatest passions are people, science and music. I also love animals, and usually they love me back :) I enjoy talking about Israeli history/culture/politics, you can feel free to ask me anything. I would also love to learn more about the place you are coming from, if you would like to share.
I work as a software engineer at Google on a project I'm very excited about. You can take a look here if you're interested: https://youtu.be/Mz0ikfuE_z0
If you're ever in Tel Aviv, I would be happy to hang out with you and experience the city together.
We can go see the view of Tel Aviv from the Google offices (33rd floor), it's quite nice :)
I also like going to the market and to the beach - they're always worth a visit, but preferably you should come when it's warmer.
If you don't mind - I prefer receiving personalized requests, and I believe they are good for the Couchsurfing community. I think using someone's name and referring to their profile ("I share your love of electronic music!" or "hey I see you've been to my home country, cool") sends a strong signal that you're on CS not only for the free place to stay (no doubt, a great feature) but mainly for the opportunity of getting to know cool people and have fun experiences together. CS is a great community, please help sustain it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the excitement of meeting new people, and seeing their city (or mine) from a different angle. I feel that getting to know people from other backgrounds than my own always opens my eyes to new perspectives. Everyone's life story seems normal to them, but is usually fascinating for others.
Above all, I like the connections and experiences that are created with people I meet on CS. Something about this community just works, and it's awesome.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music, and am always open to be introduced to new genres. Music connects us all.
I play the piano, so classical music is definitely a soft spot for me. I started playing the guitar not too long ago, so I'm still pretty bad - but still good fun.
I read a couple of good books lately - I guess they can be considered popular science. Sometimes nature is really more insane than our wildest imagination:
- The Magic of Reality: How We Know What's Really True (by Richard Dawkins)
- Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (Eliezer Yudkowsky) - a fun fan-fiction on Harry Potter for science geeks.
Best TV show ever: The end of the fucking world.
