Skeptical at first (who would want strangers staying on their couch??) a friend and couch surfing host I met in Bali described the concept to me and gave her experience glowing reviews. Couches of the world, here I come!

On my second night in Bali I lost my wallet - moonlight swim on Kuta Beach probably wasn't such a smart idea - and had to survive for three weeks without a single rupiah. It was the best three weeks in my life and proved to me the goodness in human nature.
