About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live, create, discover & fight the dragons when neccessary

ABOUT ME

Easy-going girl with a kind and calm yet somewhat chaotic mind :) I love music, travelling, adventure, books, theatre, nature and meeting new friends. You, for example!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a journey, not a destination.

In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.

Don't take life too seriously. You won't survive it anyway.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It all started when I joined Hospitalityclub.org, an organisation similar to CS, when I was 17 years old. A few years later I discovered Couchsurfing which is much more user-friendly and I started to couchsurf, first in Sweden and Denmark, than China, London, Norway...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thanks to CS I ate traditional chinese food and even got a traditional chinese feet massage (wow). I've heard stories about trolls. I hosted wonderful people in our flat. Talked to amazing people I wouldn't meet otherwise.

Really, it is a best way to travel. And when you host, it's like travelling without travelling.

Interests

My biggest hobby is music. I play different kinds of flutes, piano, last years also backpipes in the medieval music group... NO, I can't bring the backpipes with me and it's for your own good because your neighbours would excomunicate you! :)

But you can check our band here: https://www.youtube.com/user/weytora

Otherwise I love...
- books and reading
- theatre and concerts
- nature, travelling, discovering
- theatre improvisation
- ballroom dancing
- psychotherapy
- walking
- singing

What I like about travelling is that you never know what happens next. Uncertainty is my homeland :))

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Tolkien, Gaiman, Pratchett, Karel Capek, Rollo May, classics, poetry.
Movies - Forrest Gump, Interstate 60, Lord of the Rings, Butterfly Effect, Kick-Ass, Almost Famous, Once, animated movies, most of the films with Robert Redford, Dustin Hoffman, Johnny Depp or Christian Bale.

Music - everything that is intelligent, regardless if it's classical music, folk, world music or metal... I love choirs and the sound of cello though.
My favourite music at the moment is The Piano Guys, Perpetuum Jazzile (completely a capella and pretty amazing, check it on Youtube!), Stratovarius, Chthonic (taiwanese metal), some Czech folk, Beethoven, estonian classical composers like Arvo Pärt or Tormis

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Being rescued from the high tide by a helicoptere,
- Riding an elephant in Cambodia
- Eating "drunken shrimps" in China
- Spending more than a month playing irish music in the streets in France
- Walking the Way of St. James - 900 km

Teach, Learn, Share

Playing weird medieval musical instruments like backpipes or gemshorns. Or some traditional Czech songs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am curious.
Pretty much about everything.
I'm curious about you, too, and I will listen your stories for hours :) And don't worry, I have my stories to share as well.
I love to talk about psychology, people and different cultures.

I can teach you basics of Czech language (but I warn you, it´s pretty hard).
Also I can take some nice pictures of you as an amateur photographer :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, China, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
