About Me

CURRENT MISSION

From Morocco to Siberia via train and boat

ABOUT ME

I am endlessly curious and interested in helping people. I love to get to know people and create lasting friendships. I think my friends would say that I was destined for success and adventure in no particular order.

PHILOSOPHY

I long ago understood that my life was to be lived more so for others than for myself. I hope that the mark I leave in life is one that positively impacts as many people in as many places as possible. I have lived to help others and prepare myself to help many more. I will happily and confidently continue that quest for the rest of my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Due to a house full of roommates I was limited in my ability to host. We hosted a few, though no one from couchsurfing. I am hoping that I will be able to meet wonderful people willing to host me that I will happily reciprocate with when my destination has been reached. I hope to be able to share the places I am with people both those that welcomed me and those passing through.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I have not yet had a couchsurfing experience as soon as I have stories from Spain and Morocco I will post them.

Interests

I think perhaps what grabs my attention the most is the differences in people, and how in turn those differences make us more relateable and engaging than we could ever fully understand. I've spent the last few years of my life studying cultures and people, how they engage with the world around, and creating elements of the environment to facilitate that engagement. With that said, the ways in which people interact with their surroundings is endlessly fascinating to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many to choose from, right now I'm reading some Sherlock Holmes, The Mayor of Castorbridge, A Tale of Two Cities, and Introduction to the Philosophy of Gilles Delezue.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I vividly remember seeing the Louisiana Gulf Coast for the first time. It is incredible because you come out of the swamp and marsh and it opens up into the vastness of water that is so different from other parts of the coast that I have experienced. I remember the feeling that this truly was the edge of the world.
Another fantastic memory from my travels is exploring the quattro barrio in Barcelona, Spain. Moving through old narrow alley ways between shops and apartments and walking into the beautiful Plaza Real. It gave me a wonderful sense of discovery, which is one of my favorite things about the adventure of travel.
