Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had good experiences with couch surfing. Everyone that I've met so far through couch surfing has been super friendly. I love the people that are on here.

Interests

Anyway, other than purple, I also like games(video and board), medieval dance, and traveling.

For video games, I like RPG's(Role Playing Games). I prefer single player RPG's as opposed to the online ones. I think the ones online are too addicting. I also enjoy racing games and adventure games like Zelda or Tomb Raider. I also like the band sims such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I do NOT like sports or war games though. I'll play stuff like Halo, but I'm not good that good at it.

For the medieval dancing, my first girlfriend got me into the SCA(Society for Creative Anachronism). It's a non-profit group that does reenacting of medieval times(300AD-1600AD), much like civil war reenactors. I never danced in my life before, but I was pretty much forced to do a medieval dance. I found the choreography fun and easy to do. After that I was hooked.

I found that I like traveling as well. My family never traveled anywhere when I was younger. I never left the state until after I was 18. There's so much out there to see and do. Why would you want to be cooped up at home all the time? So I try to travel as much as possible. As long as I have the money and the time off of work, then I'm there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably one of the most amazing things that I've done and seen was went to Uluru to see Ayer's Rock in the desert of Australia. The locals said that it only rains 2 or 3 days out of the year, and it happened to rain on the one day that I was out visiting it. Although they close the part where you can climb on the rock when it rains, it was awesome to see the waterfalls that came off of the rock from the rain.

Another one of my favorite things that I've done was sit by the ocean at night in Hawaii. It was very peaceful and surreal.

Seeing the Niagra Falls was also another great experience for me.
