About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My five-year plan is to need a new passport because there are no empty pages left.
ABOUT ME
Truly, laughter is the best medicine. I love to laugh; yet have had tremendous losses so I know all about the crying too. Laughter is best.
Travel and life-long learning are my greatest passions...am a most easy-going, young-at-heart person. I find meeting interesting people of all ages one of life's great pleasures.
PHILOSOPHY
Honesty in all aspects of human interaction is the best approach to life, in my humble opinion. Second, to honesty, one must have a sense of humor...and exercise it! Last, but not least, it's been my experience that respect for differences in others helps to make friends of strangers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only had positive experiences with couchsurfers.
Interests
I devour books; I fantasize writing something worthwhile when I can no longer globetrot.
I love studying languages. After my stint teaching English in China I have been obsessed with Mandarin. (Very difficult for a tone deaf person!)

Music, Movies, and Books
Far too many to list here...a few favorites though are the movies Brazil, Run Lola Run. Love Margaret Atwood's poetry, E. Anne Proulx's prose, and the magical realism in Allende's novels. Music...hmmmm...love reggae, ambient, and Latin beats...and the classics, of course, particularly Chopin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Istanbul I walked from the Asian continent to the European continent across the bridge which spans them, not that great a distance, but psychologically a "trip".
I have flown over the Grand Canyon, driven the entire United States from coast to coast four times, and experienced a California earthquake and a Florida hurricane.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, South Korea
Countries I’ve Lived In
