ABOUT ME

I have traveled all over in my early 20's and now I am back on the east coast in the USA. I love animals, I love reading, I love music being outside, being warm, lol, and taking on as many new adventures as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a crazy question that i could write books on! But to summarize... I want to help- people and animals, the earth as a whole. I have learned though that we can give and help, as long as its not so much that its taking away from us. I've learned to never turn my back if I see something i think is wrong or inhumane. I have learned the value of a great perspective and how important it is to surround yourself with positivity.

To be honest, I have a child who is the basis for my personal philosophy. I am hoping to host people and through this connect with a great person who is welcoming to myself and my child and let us contribute in the best ways we can while we get situated in a new place. I dream of a life for my son where he will be in nature, around the jungle, where we can grow our own food and have a peaceful and nurturing life. Life where we are is fast paced and overstimulating... I want to step back in time to a culture that isn't so rushed and rough, and into a positive happy environment where we can make a difference in the lives of others as well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently am not participating in this project, wish I were! I just signed up and I am hoping to connect with some great people in the locations I am most interested in traveling to... and until i start traveling I am happy to host someone who seems like the right match for my home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch served (not through the website, just in my life) all over the east coast and I loved it! I stayed all over NYC and through out the mid west and west and always found amazing people and experiences everywhere i went.

Interests

i would love to travel and stay somewhere longer term. I want to get involved in charity work while I am traveling. I'm happy to work with kids, animals, nature, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: the year of the hare, dharma bums, geek love.
Movies: I love catch and release, 7 lbs, 50 first dates, all david lynch movies, rushmore, step brothers, mallrats, garden state,the yellowstone cubs.
TV: Twin Peaks, Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Dexter, Saturday Night Live, Simpsons.
Music: Sia, Modest Mouse, Country Music (funny i know!), the beatles, america, gypsy kings, james taylor, rhianna, blues, jazz, all kinda of music! I love it all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had a child- there is nothing I have done or could ever do that could equal the impact or brilliance that is him.

Something else great I have done is save more than 3000 animals. That is something of which I am very proud. I also drove all over the US for about a year, that was also amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching- well, i can help with questions about my specialties, animals and children. if you are ever traveling and run into an issue with an animal (sick, injured, etc.) I can always do my best to help. I haven't participated in this site yet though so I'm not sure how much i can teach through it yet, other than teaching those about where i am from and where I've been.

learn- I want to learn everything! new languages, food, cultures, etc. I want to learn about places of interest because truly, this is the tool i want to use for two things- traveling to contribute wherever i am and learn about it, and traveling to find my new home. I know I'm not meant for living where i am, and I thought this would be the best tool ever to follow on my search.
