About Me

Hello buddy,

I'm Subash (aka GypsyBuoy), from the nature-filled town of Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu, India. My love for travel started in childhood—when I was four, my mom would put me on a bus every weekend to visit my grandma in the next village. I used to wonder, what if this bus never stopped? What if it just kept going, showing me new birds, trees, and people?

Fast forward to today, and here I am—riding my bike every weekend to explore mountains and waterfalls. I've been doing this for almost two years, and now I’m ready to push my limits further. At first, I thought I’d need a lot of funds, so I started searching for free places to stay and eat. That journey led me to temples—where staying is possible, but food isn’t always available. My search for a like-minded community led me here.

And I couldn't be happier! Finding these communities felt like finding my kind of people, a home away from home. I'm truly grateful to have discovered you. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love melodies by Ilaiyaraaja—the king of Tamil music. My all-time favorite is Nilava Vaa from Mouna Ragam. I also enjoy songs by Arijit Singh, A.R. Rahman, Maroon 5, One Direction, Unni Krishnan, and more.

Movies: I’m a fan of unforgettable characters like Tyler Durden, Andy Dufresne, Mayandi, Kaadubettu Shiva, Baba Yaga, Ma Seok-do, and Ladybug.

Books: I haven't read many books yet, but I want to! My first book beyond textbooks was the Bible, followed by The Immortals of Meluha by Amish and Kouravan by Anand Neelakantan. If you have any great fiction recommendations, let me know! :)
