ABOUT ME

It's clearest for me to share what is "me" in the moment, rather than where I've been or where I think I might be headed, so....Today, August 15th, 2009 I am looking forward to continuing with preparations for a bike tour I will be doing in NM in September with a group called the Superheros (Our Mission: To ride around on bicycles in our superhero costumes offering our humble and spontaneous service to people, animals and habitats in need.)First I'll have lunch of baby greens and purslane from the farm (Living Lands Agrarian Network) where I volunteer here in Nevada City, CA, topped with ground flax and pumpkin seeds which I am using to nutritionally regulate my menstrual cycle. I will also find time to work on some projects for my parents whom I am staying with: repairing a garden bench with limbs that fell from the apple tree this Spring, perhaps. This morning I harvested a bunch of plums and blackberries to crush and make into a sparkling drink to bring to a birthday party tonight at the same farm my lunch is from. I'm excited because I found a hand-cranked rechargeable flashlight I've always wanted, at the garage sale across the street (and met some new sweet neighbors in the process). Tomorrow I will pack up to head down for a quiet solo retreat at the Yuba River for many days. This is an annual pilgrimage for me and I am ready. I am feeling strong and peaceful today.
