About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Dance to the music of the stars and burn bright licking lollypop flames into the sunshine. Work and travel.

ABOUT ME

In the great words of my tinngeling brain pan I'm a dancing romantic head over heals for fire and laughter. Openminded and free to the smiles of younge children, playful and all too aware of the vividness of every breath and heartbeat. I'm a junkie for a white to BROWNISH crystalline compound, C9H13NO3, isolated from the adrenal glands of certain mammals, it initiates many bodily responses, including the stimulation of heart action and an increase in blood pressure, metabolic rate, and blood glucose concentration. Also called adrenaline. To boot - The conquest of the superfluous gives us a greater spiritual excitement than the conquest of the necessary. Man is a creation of desire, not a creation of need.
-the Psychoanalysis of Fire

PHILOSOPHY

Every heart beat is the first, and the rhythm is impossible not to move too. People of the world, relax!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent the last 5 years promoting for DJ crews in California. My participation acts in traveling and spreading the good ol Word of Mouth. In this case the aid this site gives as well as helpful dos and donts. Ooo, and of course, spreadin the love! I've also in the past hosted travelers in my own home, and though that was not by this site I endorse Couch Surfing.com's efforts. That this site exists makes life wonderful.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In San Francisco I couch surfed a Djs house off and on for 2 years. Not only were the roomies hospitable (makin food on the regular as a house hold) but welcomed with open arms, takin their surfers to parties and showin the city, directing as best they could around their working days. I kept coming back because they were so chill. Costa Rica and Thailand I could wonderful hosts. Food, conversation, filler information, safe place to stay. Id like to find that again for a minute.

Interests

To be repetitive: dancing and fire, whiskey... too move further, metal art (what I have my degree in) glass blowing (interested, would like to learn) travel (wow), parties of all types, art and the classics in all forms, architecture, spoken word, circus folk, leather, freedom of expression in all its forms, skiing, hiking, yoga, archery, long night walks, brilliant conversation, the demand from others to be the absolute best that you can, swimming, sky diving (anything of the like) physics and quantum theory, theology, polyamory, universal philosophy, learning.
I am a chef some days, a server another.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Braveheart, Fightclub, Almost Famous, Roger Rabbit (wait, thats the all time favorite) - there are more. Thats a conversation piece.

Music - I'm an all the kinds sorta girl. Music too a mood. I probably lean towards Big Band (Big Bad Voodoo Daddies style) but I have a soft of Rock, metal, Punk, Zoot Suite Riot, and then of course the classics (Billy Holiday, Sinatra, Mozart and the B) but then there Buddha Bar and the oh so loving Jungle. I'm a dying breed. Once we were called Junglistas.

Books - Tom Robbins always hits home, any, though jitterbug perfume on top - The Prophet, the Egyptian Book of the Dead (Ellis Normandi rendition) Celestine Prophecy, and then a muck of other shit, Snow Crash and sooo much more. I'm a reader.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I woke up one morning and saw. Survived a great fall. Danced with the stars. There are stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

-"I'm a scientist and I know what constitutes proof. But the reason I call myself by my childhood name is to remind myself that a scientist must also be absolutely like a child. If he sees a thing, he must say that he sees it, whether it was what he thought it was going see or not. See first, think later, then test. But always see first. Otherwise you will only see what you were expecting. Most scientists forget that. So, the reason I call myself Wonko the Sane is so that people will think I am a fool. That allows me to say what I see when I see it. You can't possibly be a scientist if you mind people thinking you're a fool."
