About Me
Hi!! I'm G, and I'm a bit new to the whole world of Couchsurfing, so bear with me! I'm a student at Temple University and eager to learn about the world regardless of the confines of a college budget. While I can't host people at the moment, I look forward to meeting many new people at my apartment come 2020. If you're in to binging Pixar movies, finding the best bakeries, and enjoying a delicious cup of coffee (or tea if that's more your speed), then we'll get along just fine! I love animals, the outdoors, and sharing travel stories with whoever will listen. While mine are few in comparison to many of the people on here, I am eager to live vicariously through those more traveled and can't wait to meet you :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always wanted to travel (who doesn't?!) but have always been confined to a meager budget and a lack of a buddy to travel with. Couchsurfing is the perfect solution to both! Not only does it give me the opportunity to visit new places without the cost and hassle of dealing with hotels and rooming, but it also allows me to meet new people and build new friendships that I otherwise may not be encouraged to make. Solo travel has forever been a dream of mine, but I've hesitated to explore a new country alone head-on. While I've still yet to take that first step, I already feel much more comfortable discovering the possibilities with an experienced and friendly host at my side.
My current roommate situation doesn't permit me to have guests at the moment, but I hope that in the future, I can be the link that allows someone that same courage to take the first step and explore the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
As far as books go, anything by Colleen Hoover is immediately a win--bonus points if you've read "It Ends With Us"...it's a literary masterpiece! Aside from her works, I love trashy romance novels, paranormal romances, and fantastical romances (if you can't tell, I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic!)
Movie wise, I nerd out over Pixar movies. The house from Up has been my background and lock screen since I originally got my phone Sophomore year of high school. Zootopia, Wall-E, and Finding Nemo round out my top movie choices, but I'm also into horror films and thrillers. I just recently saw Midsommar, and all I can say is wow.
And for music, I'll listen to pretty much anything! I'm really into Yoke Lore and FRENSHIP, but I'll also listen to pop, hip-hop, dance, and country music. Nothing is off the table when it comes to beats :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
If you're a local to Philly, then maybe you'll have an idea of what I'm talking about when I reference the Quads on Broad, but for those unfamiliar, the main road that cuts through Philadelphia is Broad Street, and it is fairly known for being traversed by wild packs of dirt bikes, quads, and ATVs at all hours of the day. Having told my sister many stories about watching the QoB pass while walking back to my apartment, she was determined to hitch a joy ride on one of them when visiting for the Fourth of July weekend, so we sat on Broad, attempting to wave down the daredevils. After an hour and a half, we were about ready to call it quits when a speed demon on a yellow bike rolled up to the curb. Once we explained to him our mission, he gladly called up his buddy who brought his own bike and sped the both of us around the city. We still keep in contact to this day!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't claim to be a good cook, but I DO claim to be good at whipping together meals from the most random of ingredients. Are they good? You can be the judge, but I do consider myself to be a bit of a Chopped Champion when it comes to the kitchen :)
And I'm down to learn anything! A new language, a fun dance move, an upcoming artist to listen to--I'm all ears!
What I Can Share with Hosts
As per my teach, I can share a gritty cooking style that only a broke college student can provide! I'm also from Pittsburgh, so if you're interested in learning some Pittsburghese, yinz are in the right place! Aside from that, I have a punny, dry, and sometimes dark humor that will surely brighten any mood, and I can share endless love and affection for any fur-babies that you may have :)
