Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far, but I've received so many kind invitations that I'm having trouble responding to everyone.
Interests
I am very interested in other cultures, particularly the "southern" cultures...France, Latin America, Mexico (where I live at present) and sub-eAfrica. I was a psychotherapist in the U.S., but am not licensed in Mexico. I now do telephonic Spanish-English medical and general interpreting using a Vonage phone for a company in the U.S.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love international music...Latin, African, Arabic, Greek, etc. I probably read too much. I enjoy fiction and non-fiction...Spanish and English mainly with some French.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1)Our van was charged by a wild elephant in Kenya. A van had injured him in the past, and, just like popular belief has it, he had not forgotten.
2) I participated in a "tienta" at Dominguin's (a famous bullfighter at the time) ranch outside Madrid. They turn young cows loose in a bullring with brave (foolish?) people and then choose the most aggressive young cows for breeding to produce "toros bravos". I left the ring limping and with my pants torn, but it was worth it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy sharing my travel experiences, as some people have mistaken ideas about other countries. They think that in sub-Saharan Africa there is only hunger and war and that in Mexico everywhere is dangerous.
