About Me

I am Luis, I was born in Honduras. I studied in the US. Now I live and work in Berlin since 7 years. I work in IT. I speak Spanish, German, and English I like Sports, going to the Nature, and chill out with expat friends. I can host max 2 people in my flat. It's very central and near Berlin Central Station.

IF YOU COME TO BERLIN TAKE IN CONSIDERATION THE FOLLOWING TIPS!

-- Check the forecast before packing (you might need shorts, or sweaters etc.)

-There is only one airport. Berlin Willy Brandt in the South of the city( you need an ABC ticket) costs 3.80 €

- Germany is part of the Schengen Area, Euro is used and dollars are not accepted in any store, However credit/and Debit cards are accepted everywhere except in little shops). Do not exchange your money at the Airport, since they might charge a bit more for doing so.

- English is spoken everywhere, DO NOT WORRY IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK GERMAN.

-Make a budget for each day that you will stay here.

-Transportation is easy in Berlin, mostly you need AB ticket a 2 hour ticket costs €3 and the day one €8.80 .The daily one can be used up to the next day until 3:00 AM, you can use all transportation including the bus, tram and train (s banh and u-banh. (Do not exceed the allotted two hours, or ride the train w/o a ticket, if they catch you the penalty is €60). From the airport you would need ABC ticket that one costs €3.80.

- There is a lot to see in Berlin, some of the most visited places are the Brandenburg Tor, the Berliner Dom, East Side Gallery, Die Siegessäule, The Holocaust Memorial, Museums) check this website to see what to do and what you should see:
https://www.sightseeing-point-berlin.de/

-Go to Checkpoint Charlie and get your passport stamped :)

- Go to Mehringdamm and have a Currywurst or the famous Mustafas Gemüse Kebap (best place in town to eat the local food)

- If you like partying, Go for it! Clubs and bars are open on weekends mostly until 6-7 am. I recommend the areas of ; Friedrichshain , Schöneberg or Kreuzberg there are many clubs and ALL YOU WANT!

- If you go out don’t take your wallet or Passport... just take some money and an ID ,NO ATM CARDS, DON*T GO OUT WITH PEOPLE WHO YOU DONT KNOW WELL. Beware of pickpockets.

-Do not ask directions to strangers, use Google Maps instead.

- Ignore beggars and stupid people that talk shit sometimes.

If you need anything, just drop me a message!, have FUN and enjoy Berlin. :) !
