About Me

Hi there, everyone!

My name is Hadley. Guess this space is meant for something about me, huh?

I'm 20 years old, soon to be 21, and have grown up in the same place my entire life. I'm gay and more than a little bit nerdy. As the old saying goes, "Variety is the spice of life." My life is seriously lacking in spice. So, time to mix things up right? I want to explore new places, make new friends, and experience once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I'll never get another chance at.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to meet interesting and new people as well as make friends everywhere I go. I want to explore the world and see new things I've never seen before. After all, life's an adventure, right?

Music, Movies, and Books

I have too many favorite books to list them all.

My favorite movies are by far Avatar, Mulan, and Interstellar.

I have all my favorite music that I've discovered in a playlist on Spotify. If you want to see it, just let me know. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is grow up on a ranch. Most people wouldn't see it that way, but I do. Ranching is a profession that takes dedication and the blood, sweat, and tears of the men and women who do it. Ranching is an all-or-nothing game, where one bad day can lead to a bad generation of crops or livestock. I don't do the work as often as I should, but the people who ranch, or do any hard labor for that matter, are held in my highest esteem.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn from other people that there is goodness in the world. I want to hear their stories, and maybe, just maybe, walk away from the encounter with a new friend and a slew of new stories to share. With permission of course. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my time and a compassionate ear. I love helping with household chores and knowing that I'm able to pay back the kindness of a total stranger for letting me into their home and sharing it with me. I can share some stories of my own, too, once I get some. :)
