关于我

Hey! I’m Hazwan from Malaysia 🇲🇾

I love slow travel — exploring hidden places, learning culture, and meeting people with stories. I’m not really into touristy stuff. I prefer places with soul — where I can feel real life, eat local food, and learn how people live.

One of my favourite travel memories: I stayed in Pak Bara, Thailand for a month and accidentally became a food reviewer 😄 People started recommending stalls, I shared photos and reviews, and somehow it turned into a daily food hunt.

I usually travel by motorcycle, ride slow, camp, and go off the main roads. Music keeps me company — I enjoy listening to local music wherever I go, and post-rock when I need to just zone out and reflect.

At home, I do photography and video work for small local brands. I also help manage a small outdoor wedding space built behind my grandfather’s house.

I believe travel is not just about places — it’s about people. So I’m always open to share stories, lend a hand, or just enjoy a quiet moment with someone new.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I travel to feel, not just to see.
I’m here to connect with real people, learn how locals live, and experience places beyond tourist spots.
Couchsurfing lets me slow down, share stories, and be part of someone’s world — even for a short time.

兴趣

I enjoy slow travel, exploring hidden places, and learning about local culture.
I’m into photography, storytelling, food hunting, and riding motorcycles.
I love listening to local music wherever I go — and post-rock when I need to clear my head.
Also always curious to learn new skills and hear people’s life stories.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love listening to local music from the places I travel — it makes me feel connected. And when I need to zone out or ride long distance, post-rock is my go-to.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the most unexpected things that happened during my travel — I spent a whole month in Pak Bara, Thailand… and somehow became a food reviewer 😄

What started as just posting food photos for fun turned into something bigger. Locals started recommending hidden spots, stalls invited me to try their food, and people actually waited for my reviews to drop. I didn’t plan any of it — it just happened because I was genuinely curious about the flavours, the people behind the food, and the stories they carry.

It made me realise: sometimes when you travel slow, the place pulls you into its rhythm — and that’s where the magic begins.

教,学,和分享

Teach

I can share some basics of photography and videography — especially how to shoot cool stuff using just a phone or small camera. I can also teach simple editing, or even how to start reviewing food for fun.
And if you’re into Malaysian food, I can show you how to make simple things like nasi goreng or teh tarik!

Learn

I love learning about local traditions, language, and the daily life of people wherever I go. I’m also curious about local music — from folk to underground scenes. If you have a story, I’m all ears.

Share

I can share stories from the road — riding across borders, camping under stars, becoming an accidental food reviewer in Thailand, or how I turned my grandfather’s backyard into an outdoor wedding space.
And of course, I’m always happy to share a meal, music, or just a quiet hangout.

我可以与沙发主分享些什么

I can share good stories, good energy, and (hopefully) good food!
If you’re interested, I can take some photos or videos for you, cook simple Malaysian dishes, or just hang out and talk about life, travel, and music.
I’m also happy to help around the house or support anything creative you’re working on.
