I am a curious, sporty, lively and sometimes a bit of a restless Person who always wants to learn and discover new things . I have two grown up sons and it makes me very happy to have a Family like that.
I have worked and travelled in different parts of the world, for instance in South America (Venezuela and Bolivia) but also in the US (Ct.) and in Europe (NL and UK).
Right now I live and work in Frankfurt - who knows for how many more years....?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I enjoy travelling and Meeting up with new and interesting People I think couchsurfing is a wonderful idea to Combine both!
But I'm only starting now since I now have "big" children which gives me back a lot of freedom!!! Yeahhh!!

Interests

I am a Long distance runner and run up to three Marathons a year, some half Marathons and some mountain races as well.
My dream is to join the 2 oceans run in South Africa - which starts at the Indian Ocean and finishes at the Atlantic Coast.
There is so much to discover - running is a good way to do it!

Music, Movies, and Books

One of my favourite books is "Widerfahrnis" by Bodo Kirchhoff or "The English Patient"
I love the film "Oorlogwinter" - a Dutch movie about the occupation of the Nazis during the 2nd World War in the Netherlands

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking and climbing through wonderful parts of the Andes in Peru and Bolivia which was a spectacular experience!!!
I love the mountains but also exploring big cities, the beach, the jungle - life is sooo fascinating - I want it all!!!
