About Me

I love Jesus more than anything, and He's given me a passion for people and different cultures which means I love to travel. Every time I go somewhere new, I fall a little bit in love with it. Languages are fascinating to me. If I had a super power it would be fluency in every language (that would be ridiculously awesome), but unfortunately I only really know one. I believe in living in the moment because it can bring you some of the best adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I love to get to know new places -- not just visit but really get to know. The best way to do that is to get to know the people who live there. That's my favorite part of traveling, and I'm hoping that Couchsurfing allows me to do that in even more new places!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music -- I honestly like a wide variety... singer songwriter, country, alternative, pop, oldies, classical, rock n' roll, I've even been known to enjoy a good rap or two (as long as it's clean and I can understand the words). I'm not really a fan of screamo music or anything too heavy. I mostly just like music that makes me feel good... Ben Rector, NEEDTOBREATHE, Judah & the Lion, and Ed Sheeran to name a few (I know what you're thinking, "Ed is such a typical cliche thing for you to like," but you know what I am who I am and I like what I like). It really bothers me that there's good music out there that I'll never get to hear so if you have recommendations hit me up!

Movies -- I'm not too harsh of a movie critic. I like most things I see, with one stipulation -- I can't do horror. Just can't.

Books -- Strangely my favorite fictional book is one I read as a high school reading assignment: A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I think the language is beautiful, and the plot is intricate and kept me coming back for more. I love lots and lots of different books, though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The cool fact I always share about myself is that I'm currently raising a service dog! His name is Kirby, he's a precious little labradoodle pup, and after he leaves me he will change someone's life. I got him when he was 8 weeks old, I'll have him for about a year while I'm training him and taking him everywhere with me, and then he'll go off to someone who needs him.
