About Me

I'm Hajar, originally from Iran. I'm an English teacher with a background in Translation and a Master's in teaching English. I love learning about different cultures and languages, which is why I enjoy traveling and meeting people from around the world.

I'm open-minded, easygoing, and always curious about how others live and think. I believe in kindness, respect, and sharing stories. Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people beyond borders, and I'm excited to be part of this global community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love cultural exchange and making real connections with people from different backgrounds. As an English teacher and someone who has studied languages, I believe the best way to understand the world is by meeting its people.

I’m not just looking for a place to stay — I want to learn, share, and experience local life through the eyes of those who live it. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and build friendships beyond borders.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to different kinds of music depending on my mood — from Persian traditional and pop to classical music. Music helps me relax, reflect, and sometimes just dance around!

When it comes to movies, I’m drawn to stories based on real events, especially those that are inspiring or adventurous. Films that explore human strength, hope, or freedom really stay with me.

As for books, I’m deeply interested in personal development, psychology, and anything that helps me grow as a person. I love reading about the human mind, motivation, and meaningful life lessons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I’ve done is saving a child’s life. A few years ago, I saw a little kid who was choking and couldn’t breathe. Without thinking, I rushed to help and luckily managed to save him. It was a moment I’ll never forget — it reminded me how precious every second in life can be.
Another amazing thing I’ve done is teaching English to orphaned children at a local institute. They had gone through so much in life, yet their motivation to learn was incredible. It made me realize that education can bring hope and light even in the darkest places.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and Farsi, and share what I know about language learning and teaching. I love meaningful conversations and I’m happy to talk about culture, education, and personal growth.

I’d love to learn more about other people’s cultures, languages, everyday routines, and ways of thinking. I believe everyone has something to teach — and I’m always ready to listen and learn.

I enjoy sharing stories, cooking simple Iranian dishes, and exchanging ideas about life. Whether it’s over a cup of tea or during a walk in the city, I truly enjoy connecting with people on a deeper level.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my language skills — both English and Farsi — and some fun tips for learning them. I’d love to cook a simple Iranian meal or show you how we drink tea in Persian style! I enjoy meaningful conversations and would be happy to talk about culture, education, and life stories.

I'm also respectful of space and privacy, and always try to be a clean, quiet, and considerate guest.
