I am a graduate student majored in Persian/Iranian studies and Arabic in South Korea and Iranian history in Iran. I am finding research topics before applying for a PhD program in Middle Eastern Studies.

What I am interested in while traveling is local people’s daily lives, daily food, historical sites, local specialties, and beautiful natural environments. I like to walk, look around local markets, nature, historical sites, and buy local specialties. I also like to go to museums and think about old people’s lives. Sometimes when I see poorly managed historical sites, I get very sad.

These days while traveling in Iran, I’m into Iranian handicraft(carpet, gilim, minakari, qalamkari, khatamkari, etc.). Sometimes I need travel companion to stop me when I buy too much.
