I had many good experiences on couchsurfing first when I lived in Milan in 2009. And then later when I did a bicycle tour in Europe in 2015. Now I want to have more good experiences. For a host it's a perfect way to switch up the daily routine, and its a nice way to do something good for someone else.

To me people are art, meeting people is art. Its a way to explore oneself and the world, more than anything else.

I quote a Norwegian writer;
"Hotels extinguish you. Hotels remove your identity, personality, habits. Even your dreams in the end get taken over by the hotel. Soon you look like all the other guests. Living in a hotel is luxury, its a taste of death."

I prefer to create new memories, not talk about old ones.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I feel like travelling just to see sights and eat at restaurants is quite boring. I want to talk and experience "real" people, not see the world through the eyes of influencers, marketing and media. When I travel my priority has usually been to try to get in touch with locals. I'm not always successful, but when I am it makes a trip so much better.

I travelled quite alot when I was young due to work, but the only memories I cherish are the people I met. That is my experience, but I believe I am not very different from the rest of us. It's easy to get distracted by all the pretty things, but its the people that matter =)

Interests

I like writing, reading, video games, talking, running, x-country ski-ing, drawing, 2nd hand shopping. But one of my favorite things is connecting with people. I like movies also.

Healthy lifestyle is generally a goal I have. I want to feel good about myself. I can talk about it for hours, probably; food, sleep, being honest.

Music: I like all kinds of music. Sometimes on sundays I go to a house/techno club. I go to hard rock festivals. I go to classical music concerts. If it feels good it feels good.
Movies: Too many, but to mention a few; Whiplash, Truffle hunters, Manchester by the Sea, Interstellar, Schindler's List, Hachiko

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bicycled from Norway to Lisbon (couchsurfing on the way). It took me 4 months and I loved it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to go on walks in the city, sit at cafes, go to second hand shops. I know Oslo quite well so I can show a lot of things.
