My name is Haley, but I also respond to Hal, and I'm a student studying Civil Engineering. I love hiking and paddleboarding and overwhelming my senses with nature. I'm a workaholic so I like to juggle as many things as possible. If you catch me on my phone theres a 90% chance I'm playing Tetris. After I graduate I hope to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail before starting my career as an engineer. I love puppies and just the usual human things (drinking coffee and beer, working out etc).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling but hate hotels so I use couchsurf as a means to find alternative housing. I live in an apartment right now and my roomate isn't really cool with guests but as soon as I get a real house I'm stoked to have my own couchsurfers because I feel the struggle of hating the stiffness of hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books

Odesza and The Killers are hands down my favorite but I'm on a huge Lofi kick right now so I mainly listen to Lofi live streams on youtube while I study.

Not huge on movies, I think they take too long. However, Empire Records (90's film) will always hold my attention.

I love to read and spend any free time I have doing so. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf are two that I just finished.
