Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I needed to get "free" from the crippling belief systems that had been forced on me from birth. I felt that, as long as I remained in Texas and close to my family, I would continue to carry the weight of who I have been in the past, and continue to live in fear and doubt of living as my authentic self.

I am not a stranger to, nor in fear of homelessness, and I am able to find safe places to park my car at night...but it would be so amazing to have a warm shelter to rest in along my journey.
