Hi, I'm Haley! I grew up in Mobile, Alabama and have been recovering from that fact ever since. I currently live in New York City, where I act in plays and films and work as a freelance writer. I also do stand-up comedy and some political work. I'm figuring it out as I go along. I have a lot of interests and want to figure out a lifestyle where I can give them all space. I'm a very outgoing person that loves to try new things, meet new people, and discover new ideas. I love to read, write, and eat great food. I'm vegan (ish -- mostly) and I love Indian food, dumplings and any form of soup.

While at university in New Orleans, I studied abroad in London for a semester, and I've traveled to a few countries in Europe and South America. I love to travel and see new places and am trying to build a life where I get to do that regularly.

I was first introduced to CS when I was first living in NYC. I stumbled upon a meetup that a friend of a friend was going to, and I was blown away by how welcoming people were and the community of travelers that existed in that space. I'm a very social person, and I prefer meeting people, making friends, and learning a city through people that live there than spending my time in a hotel room with minimal interaction with others and relying on online recommendations of things to see and do.

I'm still fairly new to CS. I've only had one other experience with it working successfully, but it was a good experience and I'm looking forward to exploring this community further and meeting people around the world!

Intereses

Performance, theatre, anything arty, feminist spaces and rad women, coffee shop hopping, cinema, hiking, etc

I'm a bit of an everything-enthusiast and will try (and like) most things. I have a lot of different interests and am down to explore others. I love learning, reading, watching movies, outdoors stuff (sometimes, weather-permitting – I hate umbrellas) and having interesting conversations that make you think differently.
