About Me
ABOUT ME
I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh on what I've been told a fierce thunderstorm. Seems the heaven really wanted to dump me off to Earth.
I spent a very short time in Dhaka before moving to Abu Dhabi with my parents, where I've spent my childhood years growing up till just after high school. I was then sent to Windsor, Ontario for University. Realising it was a mistake to enroll before I was ready, I dropped out and got myself hired to various p/t jobs, accumulating my experience through the years.
Realising I had no sustainable future in Windsor, I packed up a bag, hopped on a bus, and went on an unplanned adventure, which took 4 days before I got off in Vancouver, where I now have made my home.
It's been 2 years since, and I've been keeping busy settling down and enjoying all the outdoor activities the city has to provide. But the people here made me realise it's time to travel around the world and experience more different cultures. It is with this hope and desire that I've decided to join this site.
PHILOSOPHY
"If you can give tremendous amount of love towards any animal, but show even the slightest amount of prejudice/discrimination towards any human being, then you need to re-evaluate your priorities"
"If you feel you have nothing good to say about somebody, best to say nothing at all"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While living in Ontario, I'd constantly visit Toronto and London from time to time, and during these visits I'd opt to carpool my way back and forth, instead of taking a bus or a plane, and would seek out potential friends to crash on their couches.
I've had some of the best experiences while doing so, I wish I'd known about this site at the time, it would've made it that much easier.
Interests
Anything outdoorsy, such as hiking, mountain climbing, kayaking, treks, jogs, you name it. I can't seem to sit still indoors.
I also have a deep interest in cooking. I've spent many nights hosting dinner parties and would cook for everyone. Not implying that I'm a chef, but I'm not terrible at what I cook.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: horror/gore, few comedies, thrillers, mostly cartoons
Music: anything instrumental, violin, jazz, soft trance/techno, ambient, symphony
Books: some of my fav authors are Christopher Pike, Sidney Sheldon, Jefferey Deaver, Dan Brown, Eoin Colfer, Stephen King, Anne Rice...and some more I can't remember.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Best adventure I've gotten into was to leave Ontario without any planning beforehand, and go for a 4 days bus ride across canada. After passing the Rockies, I have a whole new respect for mountains. And after basing my home in Vancouver, I've taken up hiking around the mountains. Nothing blows your mind away than to be on top of a mountain such as the Chief, or Grouse Grind.
