I am an international student living in England, originally from the United States. I hope to explore as much as I can of the UK while it's convenient, and hope to make many friends along the way.

I'm mostly here make friends and travel frugally. Likely I'm traveling within England to attend dance workshops. I love it in Manchester, but the dance opportunities in London beckon me.

Swing dancing, lindy hop, blues dancing, jazz, dank memes, pole fitness, language learning, world cuisine (especially asian), coffee, Python, frugal cooking, Bernie Sanders, kitty cats, getting crunk with the young thugs

Yes, I like all of those things!

In music, I like most everything from 90s rap to edm to jazz. Gotta have clever lyrics or a bouncing beat. Soulful female vocalist especially make me swoon lately.

Lately I've been reading Neal Stephenson almost exclusively. I'm rediscovering the sci-fi genre through him, and really digging it. Feel free to make suggestions. I'd like smaller books to tote around, as Stephenson's books are weighted like bricks. :b

I'm not as well versed in movies as I'd like to be. I love being introduced to excellent film. If you are a cineophile, hit me up. A couple of my favorite movies that I can recall are Mind Game, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Touch of Evil, Her, Everything is Illuminated, An Affair to Remember, Battle Royale.

I also watch a lot of television. Trash and [crystal] gems alike.

One time I woke up to three cats cuddling me at once. I laid perfectly still for at least an hour as not to irk the cuteness. It was miraculous and oh-so fluffy.
