About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To follow in my dad's footsteps and see as much of this amazing world as possible!
ABOUT ME
Hey, I’m Jr — the younger of two brothers raised by an incredible dad. He’s not just my father; he’s my hero. He made it his mission to show us the world, even when it wasn’t always easy. His goal was to infect us with a wanderlust that can never be cured — and honestly, mission accomplished.
Growing up, my dad would instill within my brother and me the importance of being a global citizen. Giving us opportunities that he never had when he was young. Through Couchsurfing, we've gotten to experience people, cultures, and places we never dreamed possible. Even when we can’t leave the house, it is an amazing way to bring the world to us.
I was born in south Queens, New York, just five minutes from JFK. I don't have very many memories of there because we soon moved to Houston, Texas, where I still have some family. Then one day, my dad decided to shake things up and move us to Denver, Colorado a place where we didn’t know anyone. I ended up growing up there for the majority of my childhood.
In 2016, we left the U.S. entirely. We lived in a small town north of Bogotá, Colombia for almost a year. It was a wild ride being one of the only English-speaking families there. I even went to a local school and picked up some pretty solid Spanish! After Colombia, we spent a couple of months in Quito, Ecuador before finally landing in Jamaica, the island that now call home.
My dad’s side of the family is from St. Mary, Jamaica. When my grandfather passed away, he left us a house there — just a mile from the sea in a peaceful neighborhood. That’s where we’ve been putting down roots, spending time, and building dreams. It's also where I finished high school and started university.
Back in 2013 and 2014, we traveled the world thanks to Couchsurfing. None of this would’ve happened without it. If you're ever in the Ocho Rios area of Jamaica, hit us up — we’d love to meet you, share stories, or even host you.

PHILOSOPHY
HALO'S HYMNS for HAPPINESS
1 Search out Happiness. It's looking for you too!
2 Transform someones life. Start with your own.
3 Look to connect with people. Eliminate strangers campaign.
4 When God winks, wink back (there are no accidents)
5 Be a superhero, fight FEAR(fALSE eXPECTATION aPPEARING rEAL)
6 Pour your passion, let it flow.
7 Thoughts become actions. Speak life to what you want
When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family. Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world. ~Author Unknown

We all have the power to make a difference in the life of another human being!
I’ve come to the realization that through discourse with others we could eliminate a good deal of the mistrust and misgivings we have for people. We could find some common ground. It’s there; we just have to look for it. I am always looking for the commonalities that we have with people, and not the differences. Seeing what’s different is easy, it takes no work to see what’s different. I want to learn and master the art of conversation. You don’t have to agree with everyone when it comes to opinions or ideology, but making sure that you and others are heard and understood is what’s most important.
