Hi, hello, how are you?! :)

My name is Mar ("sea" in Spanish 🌊), millennial from Barcelona and starting a new (and exciting!) 6 months exchange chapter in Rotterdam.

We may talk deeper when we get to know each other, but basically, I am all about life experiences, human connections and roots, THE SEA, nature, and exploring through art.

And, of course: I am new in Couchsurfing AND the city of Rotterdam!!!! (yay!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite movie: Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro), by Studio Ghibli. Since a child and up to today.

BUT I am of course a cinema geek. I love watching author/independent movies and I enjoy very much experimental video art experiences! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't say it's incredible??! But I did volunteer with sea turtles for a couple of summer seasons in Greece, helping the babies hatch and reach the water :')

Teach, Learn, Share

I will love to share life experiences with you!
I can happily teach you some Spanish in case you are looking to practise the language (or get in touch with it for the first time!).
Capturing life moments (photo/video) it's one of my greatest passions! I will love to explore some creative project with you or simply teach you how to envision the world from a curious point of view, and unravel new gazes of life. We can even impro a cool photoshoot!
This last year I discovered my passion for surfskate (like "surfing" concrete), it's quite trendy in Barcelona :) It's something I'm loving to do and can't wait to find great spots around the city that we can share!
