About Me

Hey there! I’m Hamed Kriaa, a 23-year-old human rights activist with a big heart, a sharp mind, and a great sense of humor. I’m a genius (not to brag... okay, maybe a little), but also super fun! I love making people laugh, meeting new friends, and talking about anything and everything.

I’m an open-minded person who thrives on deep conversations, spontaneous adventures, and meaningful connections. Sharing is my thing, whether it’s knowledge, stories, or even my food! Speaking of food, I’m a great cook, and I’d be more than happy to whip up a meal for you or bring you something special from my home country.

Beyond traveling and hanging out, my passion is human rights activism. I’ve been working with marginalized communities for years, and I love leaving a positive impact wherever I go. But don’t worry, I balance my serious side with plenty of fun, laughter, and good vibes!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, traveling isn’t just about visiting new places, it’s about meeting people, sharing experiences, and creating real connections. I believe the best way to understand a culture is through its people, and what better way to do that than by staying with locals?

I love exchanging stories, ideas, and laughs with people from different backgrounds. Couchsurfing is the perfect way to do that while also embracing the spirit of generosity and openness. Whether it’s a deep conversation over coffee, cooking a meal together, or just sharing travel tips, I believe every interaction adds something special to our journeys.

I also love giving back! I’m always happy to bring something from my home country, cook a delicious meal, or just contribute with positive energy. For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about finding a place to stay—it’s about building friendships and making great memories along the way!

Music, Movies, and Books

🎶 Music: Taylor Swift—because who doesn’t love a little storytelling magic in song form? Whether it's belting out All Too Well or vibing to Cruel Summer, I’m here for it!

🎬 Movies: I love movies that make you think, feel, and maybe even change your perspective. Some favorites include The Pursuit of Happyness (because resilience is everything), Into the Wild (for the traveler in me), and Dead Poets Society (because carpe diem!). But honestly, I enjoy anything from deep dramas to hilarious comedies!

📚 Books: I’m all about books that inspire and challenge the way we see the world. Some favorites include The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (because dreams are meant to be chased), 1984 by George Orwell (activist brain activated), and Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl (a powerful book on resilience and purpose). Of course, I’m always up for a great book recommendation!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most meaningful experiences of my life was helping a group of marginalized people regain their voices and dignity. Through my activism, I worked with a community that had been overlooked for years, fighting to provide them with better access to resources, legal support, and a platform to share their stories.

I’ll never forget the day one of them told me, “For the first time, I feel seen.” That moment reminded me why I do what I do—because small actions can create powerful ripples. Whether it’s through activism, a conversation, or simply sharing kindness, I believe in leaving a positive impact wherever I go.

Teach, Learn, Share

📚 Teach: I love sharing knowledge, whether it’s about human rights activism, social issues, or how to cook a delicious meal from my home country! If you’re curious about different cultures, global issues, or just want to learn a new recipe, I’m more than happy to share what I know.

🌍 Learn: I believe everyone has something to teach, and I’m always eager to learn! Whether it’s a new language, a different perspective on life, or even a funny local saying, I’m here for it. I’d love to learn about your culture, your experiences, and whatever random cool skill you have!

💡 Share: Good conversations, deep thoughts, and lots of laughter. I’m all about creating meaningful connections, exchanging stories, and leaving a positive impact wherever I go. Oh, and if you love food—I’ll gladly share a home-cooked meal with you!
