ABOUT ME

Pancake enthusiast, who enjoys speaking Spanish, traveling, meeting people and new experiences. I am very out going and believe having a positive attitude is key In life.

Growing up in Colorado gave me a love for the outdoors. Favorite activities include: mountain biking, fly fishing, rock climbing, hiking, skiing, running, but most of all dancing. There is nothing like a groovy tune that gets me going! I love music. In the past year I have developed a strong passion for gettin Nasté with a little yoga practice.

I am a foodie Inside and out. Big fan of food from around the world. Cooking is probably my favorite thing to do when I'm not outdoors and being active. Cooking and sharing food is such a great way to bring people together.

PHILOSOPHY

Big proponent of starting each day with a little time to reflect on finding purpose and meaning throughout the day. Living in the moment. Enjoying the little things in life. Treating everyone with kindness and respect. Smile. Lots.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Noobie!

My best friend couchsurfed during his 5 month solo trek through South America and had a blast and recommended I sign up. I am on a similar 5-6 month trip through South and Central America solo and looking to meet some amazing people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love music! Anything from classic rock, to jazzy hip-hop, reggae, disco and funk. Bluegrass is where my soul resides but I enjoy pretty much everything else except metal and hardcore, dark not uplifting tunes. Dumb-step is not my thig either.

Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. There are too many amazing books to list em all. A few off the top of my head: Shantaram is great, obviously Harry Potter, Into the Wild, East of Eden, Atlas Shrugged, The Shack...there's just too many!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmmm. Lived in France in high school for 6 months.

Lived in Valparaíso, Chile in College for 6 months.

Mountaineer'd and ice climbing in Alaska for 1 month on the Matenukia Glacier submitting peaks.

Sailed around Baja, Mexico for 1 month, sleeping on uncharted beaches.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work as a fly fishing guide and can teach some folks how to rip some lip! Catch and release only.

I am an avid mountain biker, could share some of that knowledge.

Yoga. Huge passion of mine.

Exercise in general.

I love learning and hope to learn some new hobbies along the way.
