Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Hamish. I'm a student on my gap year travelling around France! I very good French already but I need more practice in order to become fully fluent.
I grew up on a tiny Island called Auskerry which is situated in the Orkney Islands in the very north of Scotland. I was home-educated for half the year until I was 14 because it is only my family who live on the island. For this reason I value friends very highly and I love to socialise. I also have some interesting life stories having grown up on an isolated island!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be studying History and Politics at Newcastle University (England) this year. In the mean time, I want to experience as much as I can in another country and meet new and interesting people.
Interests
I currently work as a journalist at my home in Scotland. I'm still young and learning all the time but I have done considerable work with Scottish TV and national Scottish newspapers.
I play and watch football fairly regularly but I also like to play Badminton and Squash with my friends from time to time.
