Music, Movies, and Books

Do surfing mags count, haha.

Books can be a bit of a battle for me at times, I mainly read books out of interest and curiosity. So mainly non-fiction or humour......often found flicking through cook books/mags in the books stores, hunting for the next inspiration.
For a laugh, my favourite books would have to be any of the first three book by Tucker Max (I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, Assholes Finish First, Hilarity Ensues), short easy reads that can be pretty grim at times but still often hilarious. Good book to fill in that 15 minute gap.
Something more interesting was The Fear project by Jaimal Yogis. It's a pretty awesome book, one of those ones that you end up tagging page references, making notes and ideas from.

Music is huge, but sort term favourites are forever changing. Currently my most listend to bands would be We were promised jetpacks, Courtney Barnett, Royal blood, Sons of the East just to name a few. To name some older favourites include Fleetwood Mac, The Police, Bob Seger, Foo Fighters, Sublime, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bush, Weezer, Modest Mouse, Citizens Cope, Current Swell..........there are just too many.

As far as the movie seen goes, the likes of Shaun of that dead, Lock stock and two smoking barrels or something like Fury are a safe bet. I haven't watched a movie in awhile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While in Canada, I took the chance to work in the British Columbia Provincial Parks. Places like Mt Assiniboine, Fry Creek Squamish and in the Kokanee Lake areas.

Rebuilding the staircase up "The Chief," in Squamish, was one of our most renowned locations. But if we had to, we would fly building materials into the parks by helicopter before hiking in to build up trails, bridges, steps and cabins while being surrounded by the Canadian wildlife which included regular encounters with bears, moose and the odd lone wolf. These memories are something that I will never forget and the photographs taken still don't look real.
