I love long walks exploring new cities, just to see what a city randomly offers. This activity is called Psychogeography - it's amazing what you can encounter when unexpected.
I enjoy camping and the natural environment, and also enjoy all types of culture. Last week I went to an amazing ventriloquist/puppeteer show, and then a festival during the weekend.

I like lots of types of music, particular favourites are all types of Krautrock (Ashra tempel, popol vuh,) Brian Eno, M83, Sonic Youth, Velvet Underground and Sun Ra. I also dig 60s music a lot, and some electronic/ambient music.

Favourite books? A Visit from the Goon Squad and Master and Margarita stand out. Russian literature and Japanese detective thrillers are also favourites.

I'm a big fan of the French New Wave, and films from the 60s/70s particularly. Tarantino films are mighty entertaining too.

After crossing a high pass (4400 metres in elevation) in Nepal I think I was struck by lightning. Either that, or it was a very close call: my friend said he could smell something burning!
