Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Hanako, born and raised on the beautiful East Coast of Taiwan. I'm an aspiring curator and project manager with a focus on Pacific and Indigenous art.
I recently graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia and have just moved back to Taiwan. These days, I work in the mornings at an Indigenous Language Center as a language learner—yes, it’s a real 2025 job! In my spare time, I support artists and musicians with marketing strategies and do a bit of A&R work on the side.
I'm also an Indigenous entrepreneur currently building my start-up, isa (which means "one" in an Austronesian language), a creative agency focused on bringing Indigenous art to broader platforms.
Excited to connect, share stories, and learn from fellow travelers!
Current Project: "Formosa Garden" Taiwan Indigenous Album
Past exhibition: Healing from Within @ Pearlstein Gallery, July 1-31. 2024
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm about to do some solo traveling and would love to connect with new people along the way! As an artist and cultural worker, my budget is pretty tight—but my curiosity and stories are rich. I love sharing experiences, exchanging cultures, and having meaningful conversations with people from all walks of life.
